Job Purpose and Impact
The Junior Accountant - General Ledger will perform monthly general
ledger accounting activities and support financial and management
reporting. In this role, you will be part of a culturally and
geographically diverse team and interact with various finance and
non-finance teams.
Key Accountabilities
Perform month-end closing - prepare journal entries for accruals,
provisions, prepayments and other adjustments; Support USGAAP
reporting; Prepare reports for management purposes;
Perform internal controls - prepare balance sheet reconciliations
and contribute to financial statements reviews;
Act as owner of the assigned tasks for the respective business unit
and provide support to different stakeholders, while escalating
more complex issues to appropriate staff;
Manage the assigned tasks within set deadlines, receiving guidance
from more experienced team members;
Demonstrate proactiveness and continuous improvement mindset by
participating in process improvement projects and cross train with
other team members to provide backup for critical tasks;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience;
Good communication skills and effective work in a team;
Good technical and excel skills;
Fluent in English, any other languages will be considered as an
advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems and
processes.
Experience in finance operations with knowledge of Record to Report
and related finance processes
