Senior Climate and ESG Risk Specialist (Data Analysis)

The purpose of the Climate and ESG Risk Department in the bank is
to identify, assess, and manage risks related to climate change and
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors. This
department plays a crucial role in ensuring that the bank's
operations and investments are sustainable and aligned with
regulatory requirements and expectations. Currently, we are looking
for a highly motivated individual to join the Climate and ESG Risk
Department in Sector Risk as Senior Climate and ESG Risk Specialist
and help us lead the Bank on its journey to sustainability.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Senior Climate and ESG
Risk Specialist are:
·Supports the Head of the Climate and ESG Risk department in all
areas of managing the organization’s climate-related and ESG risks
management initiatives, oversee, monitor, and manage climate, ESG
risks and their integration into the Bank’s risk management
framework.
·Develop and maintain databases to assess, track and report
performance and progress against the Bank's ESG objectives and
mandatory regulatory requirements.
·Prepare data analyses, produce reports and summaries. Handle
ad-hoc data requests.
·Identify data inconsistencies, fix data issues.
·Support initiatives and workflows to improve ESG-related processes
and reporting tools.
·Communicate the Bank's ESG performance through presentations,
reports, and other communication materials.
·Drive continuous improvement in ESG risk management practices and
foster a culture of sustainability within the organization.
·Stay updated on regulatory developments and industry trends
related to ESG risk management, to align with best practices and
industry standards.
·Communication with the Group Climate Risks Division.
·All other relevant tasks in the perimeter, assigned by the
CRO.

·University degree;
·Perfect command of Bulgarian;
·Fluent English – written and spoken;
·Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in the financial
sector.
·Proficiency in Excel / SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
·Expertise in Microsoft’s office applications - Word, PowerPoint,
Project, SharePoint.
·Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, i.e. capacity to
analyze, understand and extract simple conclusions from voluminous
and complex information and ability to identify process
relationships and dependencies.
·Good interpersonal skills – ability to develop effective working
relationships with members of various units and hierarchical levels
across the Bank.
·Attention to detail.
·Excellent time management capabilities.
·Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex
information clearly and concisely.
·Awareness of the relevant global, EU and local ESG frameworks,
laws, regulations and standards and, more importantly, willingness
to develop proficiency in the above.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Commitment to continuous learning and development.
Additional factors that will give candidates a strong advantage
is:
·Work experience in the financial services industry.
·Project management experience.
·Professional certification(s) in the areas of data analysis.
