Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking an IBM Z Ecosystem Enablement Specialist to drive
the growth and success of the IBM Z ISV partner ecosystem. In this
pivotal role, you will recruit and nurture strategic partnerships,
align partner goals with IBM Z objectives, and develop impactful
go-to-market strategies. This position offers the opportunity to
leverage your technical knowledge and business development
expertise to foster innovation and maximize value for our clients,
partners, and IBM. You will have the opportunity to interact with
senior level executives at ISVs and clients as well as
attend/present at ISV and Industry conferences. If you thrive in a

Based on the market trends and client needs, candidate must be able
to translate these needs into opportunities for the Z platform. To
accomplish this goal, he / she must develop or have:
A background in distributed systems: x86 architecture,
virtualization and/or UNIX systems.
Knowledge of the IBM solution portfolio.
The ability to position IBM technologies and Z based solutions
against competition.
An understanding of existing vendor-based solutions on Z to create
surround solution plays.
Leadership and direction for ISV’s, various IBM teams and clients
to deliver (Port / Benchmark) such solutions onto Z.
A good understanding of IBM channel structure.
Business development, program and project management skills.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise
Minimum of 3 years exposure to IBM Z and z/OS environments.
Understanding of Mainframe operating systems and program runtimes
such as z/OS, RACF, DB2, CICS, IMS.
Client presentation experience.
Fluent in English.
An understanding of distributed systems: x86 architecture,
virtualization and/or UNIX systems.
The ability to position IBM technologies and Z based solutions
against competition.
Articulate vendor-based solutions on Z to IBMers, business partners
and clients.
Create business cases showing the mutual benefit to Z and the ISV.
Perform some basic technical analysis to understand effort required
to port / test such applications to Z.
Manage, Track and report business partner solution enablement and
go to market progress.
Work with vendors or business partners in solution selling, using
reference architectures and position ISV offerings alongside IBM
solutions.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Experience as an IT infrastructure specialist maintaining,
designing and provisioning complex z/OS environments.
ITIL Foundation and/or Agile Practices Knowledge.
Experience and expertise in one (or more) of the following
capabilities: SMP/E; z/OSMF; RACF; GDPS; Parallel Sysplex; DB2;
CICS; IMS; Z Security.
Exposure to data copy service and system HA functions, e.g. Global
Mirror, FlashCopy, HyperSwap, Sysplex, GDPS.
Experience with IBM’s e-config and sales tracking tools.
Experience managing and working across multiple IBM divisions.
