Your daily routine would include:

Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve the performance of database. Conduct regular tuning checks.

Database Management: Maintain Azure SQL Databases and other Microsoft data solutions. Oversee database migrations, upgrades, and patches.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues.

Security and Compliance: Ensure databases comply with security policies and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with development teams to optimize database designs and queries. Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, performance tuning activities, and operational procedures.

We’ll know you can make it if you have:

Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or other relevant certifications in Azure and SQL Server technologies;

Several years of experience in database administration, with a focus on performance tuning.;

Previous experience with cloud-based database solutions, particularly in Azure environments;

Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code).
