The coffee platform requires a Back-office role for Administrative
Specialist for Execution and Sustainability Certification, which
needs to perform in close collaboration with the EMEA Coffee
Platform Sustainability team, EMEA customers and certification
standards (such as UTZ, Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, etc.), This
position will be dedicated 50% to sustainability certifications and
50% EUDR, supporting the administration of the certificates,
structure and control of trades and documents related, announcing
in dedicated portals and systems.
Dimension and context:
This position has a direct impact in the customer centricity
strategy of the coffee platform and the compliance of LDC Suisse
with all sustainable certificates standards to which are committed.
LDC Suisse centralizes the global trade of coffee for LDC, so the
scope of the position is global although strategically based within
EMEA. This role can be performed by a Junior Execution person,
ideally with Coffee specific expertise although not compulsory,
with the necessary skills to learn and undertake the very specific
Sustainable Coffee certificate standards. Knowledge of
international trade and logistics with minimal experience a
plus.
Interactions/ interface:
This role interacts internally with LDC offices globally, from
coffee producing countries, LDC’s Coffee Sustainability Team,
marketing hubs and supporting functions in shared service
locations.
The interaction externally are with logistics service providers,
warehouses, shipping lines, third party sellers and most
importantly, coffee buyers assigned
In addition, for the Sustainability Certification management, it
will interact as well with certification standards and
certification bodies mainly in EMEA.
The relationships are complex in number and nature, and very often
requiring technical knowledge and problem solving skills.
Job challenge:
This is a new role for the Execution function, and will have to
manage the work allocation of 50% along with Sustainability
Certification assignment. It will represent a challenge for the
immediate manager to balance the workload and reporting lines of
both functions.
Being a new role for Execution and very specific assignment, the
person selected for this role will highly likely require an
intensive training and mid-term learning curve before becoming
operational
Main accountabilities:
Liaise with LDCS Traders, Contract Desk, Coffee Sustainability
Team, Coffee Origins and Execution for required support to the
administration of the sustainability certificates for LDC
Suisse.
Manage all sustainability certificates portals for receiving and
sending announcements according to the traceability rules of each
certificate (UTZ, RFA & FLO) for LDC Suisse.
Become an expert of the sustainability certificates rules and take
ownership of LDCS internal SOPs
Support LDCS external audits with documentary evidence and
reconciliation of transactions done.
Ensure that LDCS internal and external certification SOPs are being
complied by all relevant functions and that all supporting
documents are available and in order, in preparation for annual or
surprise audits.
Provide KPIs of executed contracts of LDC Suisse related to
Sustainable Certified coffee.
Provide support to the Sustainability and Execution teams for the
development, implementation and monitoring of processes and
procedures to meet LDC’s regulatory obligations, particularly those
generated by the EU regulation on deforestation-free products
(EUDR).
Provide advice and support to improve the management of
sustainability data.
Other relevant requests related to the implementation of LDC’s
Coffee Sustainability Strategy.
Knowledge and Experience:
Expertise in international commerce, import and export process and
customs regulations as well as sustainability certificate
management
Experience in international trade and commodity logistics a
plus.
Proficiency skills in Microsoft Excel and database systems
Effective communication skills, both written and oral in English –
Additional languages would be a plus.

Technical knowledge of containerized logistics and commodity
trade
